Introducing Brookfield House
Under the control of Peter and Margaret Jones since 1978, Brookfield House Care Home has been providing exceptional care and respite services for over thirty years. Today it is still owned and operated by the family and run by Manager Mrs Irene Palmer, RN.
Situated half a mile from the small town of Newport, Shropshire, this handsome Victorian house offers a high standard of accommodation, with seven single bedrooms and six shared rooms all centrally heated and comfortably furnished for a homely feel. Long stay residents wishing to bring their own furniture are welcome to do so.
There are two lounges, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor, each looking out over the attractive gardens where residents can read, watch television or receive visitors at any time of the day. A lift enables easy access to the first floor facilities.
Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and evening meals are all home cooked and those with special dietary requirements are well catered for.
Our proximity to the town centre means a good range of shops, cafes and salons are just minutes away and for our residents’ convenience we are also able to offer the services of a mobile hairdresser.
Interaction with our residents is as important to us as the provision of professional nursing and care services and we make every effort to listen, understand and respond to their individual needs. To keep residents engaged we organise regular activities and entertainments such as sing-alongs and choir recitals, which always prove popular.
