The Role

The Global Group celebrates more than 25 years in business and has an exciting opportunity for an engineer within Global Heat Transfer, the leading heat transfer fluid management company (Thermocare®  brand) and thermal fluid supply company (Globaltherm® brand).
You will work with customers using heat transfer systems and thermal fluid in a range of manufacturing applications including; food and beverage, chemical and speciality chemical processing, industrial manufacturing, pharmaceutical processing, biodiesel and plastics, polymers and styrene.
We provide innovative engineering solutions to help tackle manufacturers’ key heat transfer production challenges in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • visiting customer sites to; draw thermal fluid samples, survey systems, report on system components and undertake thermal fluid management tasks using a range of portable and fixed technologies
  • support thermal fluid changes/flushing/removal and disposal
  • production and amendment of method statements
  • complying with all relevant legislation, attending site inductions and completing relevant training as required
  • analysis of heat transfer systems and thermal fluid performance
  • participate in engineer team meetings
  • provide support in creating and maintaining processes, product specifications, testing and surveys
  • investigate manufacturing problems, answer technology questions and solve thermal fluid and heat transfer system production problems
  • working to approved methodologies to support our ISO 9001 and ISO14001 accreditation
  • contribute to service developments that fulfil market requirements regarding performance and quality improvement and cost reduction

About You

You’ll have good face to face and telephone customer service skills and be able to work by yourself or as part of a team. Your key skills will include:

  • A strong working knowledge and interest in process engineering
  • Knowledge and experience of delivering maintenance services to large scale manufacturers
  • Skills in project management and problem solving techniques are desirable for this role
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Organised and logical with good time management skills
  • Experience in delivering training to small groups is desirable but not essential
  • A working knowledge of heat transfer applications is desirable but not essential
  • You will be required to travel and stay overnight in accommodation provided
  • You will be required to travel overseas from time to time

Job type – Full time, permanent Salary – Good rate + bonus structure The Role Using our customer relationship management system and your excellent telephone communication skills you will contact existing customers to increase sales of Global Heat Transfer’s products (Globaltherm® brand) and services (Thermocare® brand) while updating our database systems with sales call and email activity. Responsibilities will include:
  • Maximise sales opportunities by making calls to companies using company data in the customer relationship management system and manual records
  • Generate quote opportunities
  • Generate meeting opportunities for the technical sales team
  • Develop relationships with existing customers
  • Update and verify information on the database using the Company customer relationship management system
  • Participate in training as required

Field Sales Job type – Full time, permanent Salary – Commensurate with experience + bonus structure The Role Global Heat Transfer works with a wide range of manufacturing process companies in pharmaceutical, food and beverage, chemical, industrial manufacturing and plastics, polymers and styrene applications throughout the UK and Ireland. Using the company’s customer relationship management system, you will identify and create new business opportunities to sell Global Heat Transfer thermal fluid products (Globaltherm® brand) and heat transfer engineering management and maintenance services (Thermocare® brand). Responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and carry out sales visits and making presentations to prospective clients across the UK, Ireland and Europe with the requirement of 3/4 nights away from home per week, Monday – Friday.
  • Respond to and follow up sales opportunities with prospective clients in a timely professional manner
  • Build rapport and form close relationships with relevant personnel – in prospective companies – from operations and maintenance to purchasing through to board level members
  • Liaise with the internal sales team (who will provide products and service support to clients) to assist in developing pipeline sales meeting opportunities
  • Working within the Company framework and using knowledge and tools available in line with agreed processes
  • Work with the internal sales team to assist in developing pipeline sales opportunities
  • Update the Company Customer Relationship Management system with all relevant contact information and insights that will lead to sales opportunities
About You You will be able to demonstrate a professional sales aptitude and a proven track record of building strong customer relationships that have directly impacted sales. Your key skills will include:

The Role
The Global Group celebrates more than 25 years in business and has an exciting opportunity for a lab technician within Global Heat Transfer. The lab technician will perform industry standard tests and analysis of oils. The reports produced will help improve the condition of the oil to aid improvements in customer production processes to reduce downtime and maintenance costs and improve operational health and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing samples and performing chemical and physical tests and analysis of oils to produce reliable and precise data to support investigations
  • Carrying out routine tasks accurately and following strict methodologies to analyse samples using testing equipment
  • Recording results and applying data entry to the company system
  • Update and maintain all work records, filing and sample storage
  • Using on-line systems and performing mathematical calculations for the preparation of graphs
  • Work within Quality Control standards to an accurate standard and able to take positive steps to report these when samples are out of specification
  • Keeping up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability
  • Constructing, maintaining and operating laboratory equipment and ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked
  • Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks

About You

  • A degree (BSc or MSc graduate)
  • Previous lab experience is a must (this can be lab experience from your degree) as is chemical testing
  • Able to follow written methods and apply these practically

The Role

Warehouse support perform an array of functions that will include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and managing, organising and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Assist shipping and receiving goods in
  • Driving a forklift truck and unloading trucks and checking in stock
  • Sort lift and place materials or items on racks according to organisational standards
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; picking and packing goods
  • Prepare goods for dispatch with third party delivery companies
  • Maintains inventory controls by recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed using company systems. Will also assist in counting of physical inventory
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat and always organises warehouse and work area for orderliness
  • Delivers goods to multiple destinations using company vehicles
  • Wears the proper safety equipment
  • Undertakes other Group related tasks as required
  • Complies with relevant Health and Safety legislation
